Shopping Our Stash #106

Hello sweet friends!  I have been absent again.  No excuses, just absent.  But today I have a card for our new challenge at Shopping Our Stash.  This week we want to see geometric shapes.  Squares, rectangles, hexagons, circles.  You choose!

I made a very simple (and quick) card for me.  I had seen some fun cards in blog land using circles so that's what I decided to try.
I decided to only use scraps on this card (except for the base).  As I was flipping through my box I found the "friend" paper and it was big enough for the background.  I am visiting a friend tonight that was in an accident a couple weeks ago and wanted to make her a card, so this was perfect!  I punched a bunch of circles, embossed a couple of them and inked them.  I added some pearl cotton and a cross charm.  And....done!!  WAHOO!
Here you can see I added some circles on the inside with my writing panel.

That's it.  Now it's time to see what you can do!  But first, the ladies on the SOS design team have made some amazing cards for you this week so zip over there for more inspiration!  Then get busy and show us what you come up with!

I think that's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Blessings & Hugs,

Michelle

Shopping Our Stash #104

Welcome friends!  It's time for another great challenge at Shopping Our Stash.  This week we want to see your creation using NO design paper.  That can be a challenge but not impossible.  Hop over to our challenge blog to see all the amazing creations the team has whipped up for you then dig into your stash and play along with us.

I went with a very simple design this week.  No embellishments for me this week but I am really liking this card.
I broke into my stash of stamps and inks and this is what I came up with.  The stamp is an old one from SU.  I used all SU inks.  The mat is from my box of scraps.  The only new thing I used was the sentiment from Papertrey Ink.  It says "Where flowers bloom so does hope."
I repeated the design on the inside writing panel.  The green mat was also from my scrap box.  Pretty simple for me, huh?  This was a very fun card.  I may try CAS again some time!

Now, it's your turn!  Make something wonderful and share it with us!

I think that's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Blessings & Hugs,

Michelle
